Child’s Play
As adults, we are keenly aware of daily world issues, geopolitical strife, economic meltdowns, natural disasters…the list is exhaustive. Amid all this turmoil, I found myself feeling emotionally depleted and somewhat fragile. I chose to return to positive, emotionally healing subject matter in this body of work, relying on my own experiences and memories as a mother of four grown children. I clearly recall observing my children busily engaged in a world of magical detachment, seemingly unaware of impending deadlines and outward pressures. They appeared to be completely immersed in the moment.Gallery of colorful pop art and portrait paintings in an art exhibit with visitors viewing the artwork.
