Child’s Play
As adults, we are keenly aware of daily world issues, geopolitical strife, economic meltdowns, natural disasters…the list is exhaustive. Amid all this turmoil, I found myself feeling emotionally depleted and somewhat fragile. I chose to return to positive, emotionally healing subject matter in this body of work, relying on my own experiences and memories as a mother of four grown children. I clearly recall observing my children busily engaged in a world of magical detachment, seemingly unaware of impending deadlines and outward pressures. They appeared to be completely immersed in the moment.Cat's Eyes Oil on canvas 48 x 90 inches
